He aha te Rongoā Māori? · What is Rongoā Māori?

A whole-person approach to hauora

Rongoā Māori is a Māori approach to hauora grounded in tikanga and mātauranga Māori. It recognises you as a whole person, and the relationships between your physical, emotional, spiritual, whānau and wider wellbeing.

Tinana

The body, and how it is carrying things.

Hinengaro

The mind and emotions.

Wairua

Spirit, connection and identity.

Whānau

The people and relationships around you.

Your wider world

The context of your life and what is happening in it.

At Top Notch, Rongoā Māori sits alongside our osteopathy and massage services. Each brings a different perspective on wellbeing, and you are welcome to draw on one or both.
