Home » Olivia Ross | Rongoā Māori Practitioner
You’ll find me in Massey at Top Notch Bodyworks, where I offer Rongoā Māori: a culturally grounded, whole-person approach to hauora.
I’m a Rongoā Māori practitioner and kaimirimiri. My whakapapa includes Te Aupōuri (Te Kao) and Ngāti Maru (Hauraki).
My practice has been shaped through wānanga, guidance and mentorship within Rongoā Māori, and continues to develop through ongoing learning and clinical mentorship in West Auckland. I practise within a tikanga-grounded framework that recognises the relationship between tinana, hinengaro and wairua, with whakawhanaungatanga, aroha, respect and individualised care at the centre of my work.
You don’t need to be Māori, or to have experienced Rongoā before, to book with me. Everyone is welcome.
Every Rongoā session is individual, and you don’t need to know what type of treatment you need before you arrive.
We start with whakawhanaungatanga: time to arrive, connect and feel safe. Then there is space for kōrero about what has brought you in and what matters to you.
From there, I may draw on different aspects of my practice depending on you and the session.
We keep time at the end to settle, reconnect and close. Your session finishes with a wai rākau, a traditional drink chosen to support your wellbeing. Please let us know about any allergies, medications, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, so I can check it is suitable for you.
Your first appointment is 60 minutes, and follow-ups can be 30 minutes where appropriate.

I’m active in community mahi, including work connected with Hoani Waititi Marae, Women’s Refuge, Waipareira and community clinics in Kelston. If you already know me through my community mahi, you’re welcome to continue your care with me at Top Notch.
Alongside my Rongoā practice, I have training and experience in massage therapy, reflexology and beauty therapy, including international experience through the Steiner Training Academy in London and Holland America Line.
